What was once Elle Cafe on 321 Water Street is now the new home of an eco-friendly, socially conscious coffee and cake shop focused on fair trade – Trees Organic. With coffee and cake in mind, the Gastown Blog team visited the newest addition to the Gastown coffee shop scene.
“We carry all organic and fair trade products,” Shir (read: Sheer) tells us as she pours a cup of hot coffee. “We have coffee from Peru, Sumatra, Guatemala and many other countries.”
Despite the great taste of their roasted brews, what Tree’s Organic is really known for is their signature cheesecake. Voted best Cheesecake in Vancouver by the Province newspaper, the Gastown Blog team couldn’t refuse a bite. Checkout the mouthwatering photo below.
