In a neighbourhood surrounded by edgy and hip fashion boutiques, finding that great dress that no one else has can be a hard thing to do. Fret not, the Gastown Blog is here to help you! Tucked away between Cordova and Homer Street, Holly is another great example of Gastown’s hidden gems. The Gastown Blog team met with the lovely Holly Wong, owner of Holly Boutique to get a tour of the space and a quick peek of what they’re offering.

Can you tell us the concept behind Holly?
Well, the concept of Holly is to bring up-and-coming labels that are not necessarily easy to be found in Vancouver. We also want to focus on formal-casual pieces, something that could be worn for work and even for places you’ll go to get a drink afterward.

Why choose Gastown?
I really like it how Gastown is full with creative people and the fact that it is such a tight-knit community. We are surrounded by great retailers like dutil denim, The block, dream [just to name a few], and honestly, it doesn’t make us like we’re competing with one another, it actually complements us. It really makes Gastown the “go-to” place for finding great fashion items. So it’s just makes a lot more sense to me to open up here rather than somewhere else.
What brands/label that you are bringing in to your store?
We houses many LA and NY clothing brands like La Rok, Charlotte Ronson, Monrow, Manson, Black Halo, Kain Label, and many more. We also have the LA-based jewelery such as Low Luv by Erin Wasson; and Rebecca Minkoff handbags.
