Deluxe Junk
Where in Vancouver can you find a mix of truly fashionable vintage and contemporary clothing? There’s only one place that boasts such selection and diversity – and that’s Deluxe Junk. Located on 310 West Cordova on the edge of Gastown, this true consignment store showcases some of the best costume jewelery and vintage clothing in British Columbia. The GastownBlog team had the opportunity to meet with Rod, owner of Deluxe Junk, to give us a tour of the store.
“We have a mix of contemporary clothing from last year to full on vintage clothing from the 80’s, 60’s, 50’s, and 40’s.” Rod tells us. “We continually have pieces coming in every couple weeks, which is great as it keeps us [Deluxe Junk] fresh with new selections.”
The GastownBlog team first noticed Deluxe Junk on the runway show at YumYum PrettyPretty at Chill Winston just last week. With the clothing they put out, we had to come visit the store. We found lots of great items such as Ray Ban glasses from the 50s to the 90s, vintage ties by Salvador Dali, and even suits and dresses from the 50s.
