The Pourhouse

The Nook

Tucked away, in the beautiful 1911 Le Magasin Building lies a gem of a store – The Nook. Owned by Rodrigo Lecompte, The Nook is a different kind of souvenir store that sells traditional, handcrafted gift items and clothing.

Yesterday was the last day of Gastown Farmers Market. For those who have not yet heard about the Farmers Market, the Farmers Market is where local BC producers meet to create healthy food networks that sustain our land, and our community. With so much focus on innovation and the environment, the Gastownblog team was pleased to feature Idea Rebel – the tech industry’s new digital renegade.

Any Hat

With so much focus on clothing, shoes and accessories for the fall, there is one thing that most of us often forget – headwear. The GastownBlog team bumped into Any Hat, a hat store which features an array of the latest hats that are unique and fun for both men and women. They carry some of the best brands such as Bailey, Kangol, Biltmore and many more.

So.Cial Gastronomy

The Social, a popular restaurant housed in the beautiful 1911 Le Magasin Building on 332 Water Street, is adding an extra delight to its already delicious menu. Harman Gill, So.Cial Executive Head Chef, shows the GastownBlog team in the video after the link.

With fall clothing as the huge focus this entire week, the GastownBlog Team was happy to feature Two of a Few – an uuber trendy retail store owned and managed by Michelle Rizzardo. Located on 356 Water Street, Two of a Few features a wide selection of shoes and apparel for both men and women.
