Gastown Farmers Market – August 30th 2009

It was another bright Sunday afternoon at the Gastown Farmers Market.

The GastownBlog team met up with the latest addition to the Gastown farmers market, Otto “Skipper” Strobel!

Otto has been fishing the BC coast since 1960 and is dedicated to promoting and supporting the Community Supported Fishery model.

7th Annual Steamworks Concours D’Elégance

On Saturday, September 5, 2009 Water Street will be closed off for the day and will be displaying cars from the Gassy Jack statue all the way to Granville Square.

This display of 75 to 100 Classic and heritage cars will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday September 5th, 2009 in the Gastown district of Vancouver.

Lloyd’s of Gastown

The GastownBlog team visited Lloyd’s of Gastown at their rad underground store on Water St.

The GastownBlog team visited dream apparel, a funky little boutique on 311 west cordova street. Wendy de Kruyff, the owner of the boutique, has been based out of Gastown for 16 years.

Dream apparel is unique to other clothing retailers because 98% of the brands they carry are locally made in Vancouver. They also love to support and profile Vancouver’s up-and-coming designers in their boutique.

The GastownBlog team visited Versus 21 in Gastown and checked out their acclaimed fitness program.
